I consider it a matter of great pride and honour to be a part of this glorious and prestigious college- the Sibsagar College, Joysagar  in any capacity may be as a student, employee, the principal, a teacher, a well wisher. I feel myself privileged and deem it a pleasure to welcome you to this noble seat of knowledge which has a long history of its own. I extend my warmest welcome with all cordiality to the young knowledge seekers to be part of this institution of long standing and avail all opportunities offered by it in order to widen their horizon of learning. In recent years many private institutions are coming up and education has been treated as a marketable commodity in view of the globalisation and the GATS. One should be very careful and judicious in selecting an institute for earning knowledge and building one's own career.  New born institutes may lure students as well as guardians by adopting various means and may show apparent good performance for a period of time but not as successful as the time tested ones like the Sibsagar College, Joysagar. It has all the potentialities to deliver the best to a learner and is ever ready to offer them in terms of human and material resources. It is due to the existence of such potentialities that the college has been recognised as a "College with Potential for Excellence" by the University Grants Commission. I once again extend hearty welcome on my behalf and on behalf of the college fraternity to this institute of higher learning and to  equip oneself to win over all competitions ahead. I owe my thankfullness to parents and guardians for selecting our college to get their wards admitted by reposing full confidence on us.
