The
college started the Department of Computer
Science by introducing "Computer
Science" as a Core
Subject in the year 2000 in the
degree level. Since 2004, the department offered
"Introductory Computer Science" as an
optional subject in H.S. level. In it's extension
activities, the department has been rendering
support to the BCA & MCA students under the
Krishna Kanta Handique State OPen University (KKHSOU)
and Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).
It also provides computer training to teaching
and non-teaching staff of the college. |

Looking at the growing demand of professionals
in the field of Computer Application and
inclination of the students towards professional
courses, particularly the computer courses, the
college has decided to start BCA and PGDCA in
the department of Computer Science. The college
has been accorded permission by the Dibrugarh
University to start both the courses vide letter
no. DU/ RG/ DCDC/ SC/ Perm/ 2009-2010/ 7201-207 dated 15.12.2009. |

With excellent infrastructure, well-equipped
laboratory, experienced faculty members, the
college is poised for imparting effective
computer courses leading to degree and Post
